In the previous unit, we learned that Erikson's theory had 8 stages. The stage that Erikson said occurs during the teenage years is identity versus role confusion. You have probably already heard of the term "identity crisis".

- Another theorist, by the name of James Marcia, took Erikson's concept of identity crisis a step further. We will look at Marcia's theory today
- in the textbook (pg. 106)

Please submit your 'androgyny thinking task', now due. Two different concepts today:
1. Recall: Sandra Bem suggested that androgyny was the ideal approach to one's gender.
She also produced a list of suggestions for how parents could protect their kids from gender stereotyping. Click here for a copy of her recommendations.

- due to the literacy test there is no class during period 1 or 2 today (for grade 11 & 12 students)
- Periods 3, 4, and 5 will run as per the normal timetable.
